Triple BAFTA winner Mo Gilligan is one of the UK’s biggest comedy stars with an online reach running into multiple millions.

With his high-energy style, razor-sharp observations and unmistakable physical comedy, three-time BAFTA-winning Mo Gilligan has become one of Britain’s most celebrated and internationally recognised comedy stars.

Named ‘The Funniest Man in Britain’ by The Times, Mo’s debut stand-up tour sold out, culminating in a two-week West End residency. The show was filmed as his debut Netflix Original, Momentum, and released globally across 190 countries. His follow-up tour, There’s Mo to Life, achieved another total sell-out run, including an incredible 10 dates at Hammersmith Eventim Apollo and a history-making show at The O2. His second Netflix special followed in 2022 to widespread critical acclaim.

On television, Mo became the host of the multi-award-winning The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan, winning the BAFTA for Entertainment Performance in 2020 and a second BAFTA in 2022 when the show won Comedy Entertainment Programme. He went on to become a long-standing judge on The Masked Singer, while his first book, That Moment When…, was published by Penguin.

Mo has continued to expand his career beyond stand-up. In 2024, he made his feature-film debut as the voice of Beckett in the animated comedy 10 Lives, which premiered at the internationally renowned Sundance Film Festival. In 2025, he embarked on his biggest live project yet with the In the Moment World Tour, performing to sold-out audiences across the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe before finishing with another sold-out O2 Arena show.

Mo is also the founder of MOMO G, his own production company specialising in original entertainment, comedy, audio and digital content. Through MOMO G, Mo has championed new ideas, created opportunities behind the camera and helped shine a light on emerging and underrepresented talent.

Beyond entertainment, Mo is passionate about using his platform to support communities and grassroots causes. He is an ambassador and supporter of a range of charities and organisations, helping to raise both awareness and funds for causes close to his community.

In 2026, Mo returned to Netflix with his third stand-up special, In the Moment, alongside a new global content partnership with the platform. He also fronted Big Chicken: A Fast Food Conspiracy, a bold documentary combining comedy, personal storytelling and investigative journalism as Mo explored the global fried-chicken industry through a 28-day experiment. The documentary became a global streaming success, reaching the Top 3 on Netflix in multiple countries around the world shortly after its release.
