Job Description
As a LIVE PRODUCER you will predominantly be responsible for all aspects of the Live comedy bookings in our artists busy diaries, in line with their personal and company-led progression.
Key responsibilities:
These objectives guide the work of a Live Producer and ensure the successful planning, execution, and promotion of comedy shows and events that entertain audiences and support the growth of the comedy industry.
· Talent Booking: Secure top-tier comedians and performers for comedy shows and corporate events, ensuring a diverse lineup that appeals to the target audience.
· Show Production: Coordinate all aspects of show production, including venue selection, scheduling, technical requirements, and logistics, to ensure successful and well-executed comedy events.
· Talent Management: Build and maintain relationships with comedians, agents, and talent representatives, negotiating contracts, managing bookings, and providing support to ensure a positive experience for performers.
· Client Support and Advocacy: Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients, offering advice on career decisions, personal branding, and navigating the complexities of the live circuit.
· Networking and Industry Relations: Build a network of industry contacts, including venue owners, promoters, agents, and other stakeholders, to stay informed about industry trends, opportunities, and talent availability.
· Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative tasks such as organising contracts, answering phones, managing clients’ calendars, filing documents, and maintaining client databases to ensure smooth office operations.
· Financial Management: Invoice clients for performances and services rendered on a weekly basis. Monitor payment timelines and follow up on outstanding invoices, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions.
· Market Analysis and Strategy: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging platforms, and changes in audience preferences. Develop strategies to position comedians effectively in the market, capitalizing on new opportunities for career growth.
· Diversity and Inclusion: Representing a diverse roster of comedic talent. Promote inclusivity and ensure comedians appeal to a broad audience demographic.
· Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with comedy events, such as technical issues, talent cancellations, or audience dissatisfaction, and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
· Industry Representation: Represent the comedy circuit professionally and ethically in all dealings with talent, venues, sponsors, and partners, maintaining the integrity and reputation of the organization and the industry as a whole.
