Slim

About Slim

“One of this country’s best comedians.”

— THE HUFFINGTON POST

Slim is one of the UK’s biggest stand-up stars and the undisputed king of the Black British comedy circuit. With a career spanning more than two decades, his distinctive combination of physical comedy, sharp observations and infectious energy has made him one of the most recognisable and respected performers in British comedy.

Multi-award-winning and unapologetically for the people, Slim has performed to audiences across the globe, building a loyal following through his generous, smart and highly physical brand of comedy. He has sold out numerous smash-hit tours and become a regular sell-out favourite at London’s Hackney Empire, while also supporting some of the biggest names in international comedy, including Kevin Hart and Dave Chappelle.

His reputation as a global performer is reflected in the breadth of his touring career. Slim has taken his comedy across Europe and to destinations including Barbados, Jamaica, Qatar, Dubai and the Falkland Islands, as well as performing at the NATO Headquarters in Belgium — a testament to the extraordinary reach of his comedy and his ability to connect with audiences wherever he performs.

A landmark moment in Slim’s career came when he became the first Black British comedian to sell out the London Palladium with his own show, cementing his status as a trailblazer within British comedy and a major force on the live circuit.

Alongside his hugely successful stand-up career, Slim has built an impressive television résumé. His credits include Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), Live at the Hackney Empire (BBC One), Sorry, I Didn’t Know (ITV1), Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable (Dave), Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains (Comedy Central), The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One) and The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV).

After more than 20 years at the forefront of the Black British comedy scene, Slim remains a formidable live performer and one of the circuit’s most influential figures — continuing to sell out major venues, tour internationally and inspire the next generation of British comedians.
