Comedian & Host of ‘WE SAW THAT’, Gbemi is one of the most talked about break out comedy names on the circuit.

Gbemi Oladipo is a celebrated writer, comedian and performer with a natural ability to lift the mood in any room. An exciting and distinctive comedic voice, Gbemi is known for his charismatic, playful and sharply observant approach to contentious topics, connecting with audiences through a unique blend of wit, warmth and fearless storytelling.

A highly sought-after writer, Gbemi was the series writer on Sky One’s Fantasy Football League, starring Matt Lucas, and has written for a host of acclaimed television shows including Horrible Science (CBBC), Dannielle Does Life (BBC Three), Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC) and Schooled (Channel 4).

His award-winning short film Fck My Life – Most Racist Uber Ride Ever*, based on a real-life experience, won Best Short-Form Format at the 2020 Broadcast Digital Awards and was nominated for a Webby Award for Comedy, alongside work from James Corden, Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show and The Simpsons.

As a stand-up, Gbemi has performed at some of the UK’s most prestigious comedy venues, including The Comedy Store, Top Secret Comedy Club and Up The Creek. His television credits include The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV), BBC 1Xtra Comedy Gala (BBC One) and Sorry I Didn’t Know (ITV) He was also nominated for a Chortle Award, further recognising his growing impact on the UK comedy scene.

Gbemi is a core ensemble cast member of A Comedy Thing, the flagship comedy platform from 4.0 and Strong Watch Studios, where his quick wit, improvisational instincts and magnetic performance style have made him a standout presence among a new generation of UK comedic talent.

Most recently, Gbemi has taken his distinctive comedic voice to the stage with his smash-hit live format We Saw That, which achieved a sold-out tour and further established him as a formidable live performer. The success of We Saw That has cemented Gbemi’s reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging comedy voices — equally at home behind the scenes as a writer or commanding a room as a performer.
