About
Kae Kurd
“The sell-out crowd are hooked. We’re a captive audience.”
— THE HERALD ★★★★
Smart, sharp and brilliantly funny, Kae Kurd is one of the UK’s leading next-generation comedy talents, operating at the cutting edge of modern comedy and broadcast across stand-up, sketch, writing, digital, sport and entertainment.
A British-Kurdish comedian, writer and presenter, Kae has developed a distinctive voice that combines slick mainstream appeal with smart, socially aware comedy and an instinctive understanding of contemporary culture. He has built a reputation not simply as a stand-up, but as a multi-genre comedy talent equally at home on stage, in a writers’ room, behind the camera or fronting a major broadcast format.
Kae has appeared on Live at the Apollo three times, most recently in 2026, alongside extensive television credits including Mock the Week (BBC Two), Celebrity MasterChef (BBC One), The Apprentice: You’re Fired (BBC Two), House of Games (BBC Two), Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains (Comedy Central), Comedians Giving Lectures (Dave), Don’t Hate the Playaz (ITV2), CelebAbility (ITV2) and Sorry, I Didn’t Know (ITV).
His stand-up career has been equally impressive. His debut special, Kurd Your Enthusiasm, has passed 200,000 views on YouTube, while his 2021 Spoken Kurd tour sold out and his 2023 Kurd Immunity tour culminated at London’s Eventim Apollo. In 2025, he took his biggest tour to date, What’s O’Kurd? around the country, including a major performance at The O2.
Kae is now taking that live comedy experience into an even broader format. Following a two-year sold-out residency at London’s legendary Up The Creek Comedy Club, he is currently touring the UK with Kae Kurd’s Comedy Club on the Road — his own mixed-bill comedy format combining top-tier stand-up, interactive games, chaotic audience moments and special guests. Every show is designed to feel different, positioning Kae not just as the comedian on stage, but as the curator and host of a contemporary comedy platform.
His online work has established him as a major creator and curator of comedy content, with a sharp understanding of character, culture and the way audiences consume comedy across platforms. His digital output has included football, social commentary and topical sketch, helping establish him as one of the new generation of comedians who can build an audience both on and beyond traditional broadcast.
His writing credentials are extensive. Kae has worked across Chunkz’s Bad Chefs (ITV2), Munya Chawawa’s Race Around Britain (YouTube Originals), Crouchy’s Year Late Euros (BBC One), Celebrity Juice (ITV2), Cunk & Other Humans (BBC Two), Death to 2020 (Netflix), Redknapp’s Big Night Out (Sky One), Have I Got News For You (BBC Two), A League of Their Own (Sky One) and ITV Sport. He is also lead writer and voice of ITV’s Loaded in Paradise.
Kae’s work in sport has become an increasingly important part of his comedy career. He hosted The Flare Button, TikTok’s first-ever live vertical football studio format, delivering 24 live shows featuring ex-footballers, musicians, comedians and other guests. He has continued to build on that experience through his work with ITV Sport and as co-host of The Wayne Rooney Show alongside Kelly Somers and Wayne Rooney.
Kae also fronted his own comedy entertainment series Sets & Reps for Sky, further demonstrating his ability to develop and host formats that sit somewhere between traditional entertainment, comedy and culture. His ability to operate across these different spaces has made Kae an increasingly sought-after creative collaborator, working with major brands including Google, Nando’s, Alpro, Domino’s and ITV Sport.
Kurd represents a new model of British comedy talent — a performer who can move seamlessly between stand-up, sketch, broadcast, sport and digital culture, while remaining unmistakably himself.
